Date: Friday, February 14, 2025

Time: 7:00 pm

Description:  An illustrated talk by Sheila Ward We think of our coast as a tranquil sort of place with many people enjoying walking and sailing. but in the past, it was very different – a busy area, suffering invasions, carrying on thriving maritime trade but harrassed by pirates, touched by many wars over the centiries, and with many local trades and industries. This talk takes a closer look at the New Forest Coast – extent, history, economy, wildlife and threats. The MHS AGM will be held after this talk.
