Description:  An illustrated talk by Roger Marchbank A noted local vintner My talk takes an overview of how modern English wine came about tracing its roots back 4000 BC, with its arrival in the new Forest in Beaulieu in 1956. It finishes with a little tasting of a current English white wine to rove that the journey was worthwhiloe!

Description:  An illustrated talk by Sheila Ward We think of our coast as a tranquil sort of place with many people enjoying walking and sailing. but in the past, it was very different – a busy area, suffering invasions, carrying on thriving maritime trade but harrassed by pirates, touched by many wars over the centiries, and with many local trades and industries. This talk takes a closer look at the New Forest Coast – extent, history, economy, wildlife and threats. The MHS AGM will be held after this talk.

Description:  An illustrated talk by Dr Will Ward The Auxilliary Units were specially selected, trained and equipped by the British Army during the Second World War, to become the resistance in the event of Nazi German invasion.
